After an in-depth consultation that includes a full panel of lab work, a hormone therapy plan is customized to your needs. A numbing agent is used on the treatment area where we’ll insert the pellets – this is typically near or around the buttocks. A small incision is created to insert the hormone pellets, then covered with a bandage. Over time the pellet will dissolve, metabolized by your body. After insertion, we recommend you abstain from rigorous lower body exercises until the incision has fully healed.  Showers are fine, but we recommend avoiding hot tubs, baths, and swimming for 24-48 hours.
